Michelle Ruhlin Nicholson
"The Latino Studies department has played a major role in my academic development at Indiana University. The support and encouragement of department professors has been vital in allowing me to develop my research interests. I have had great flexibility to explore topics such as immigration practice and policy, alternate conceptions of borders, and Latinos/as in the workplace. Furthermore, Latino Studies coursework is highly complementary to many of my other classes, helping to inform my perspective and shape my judgment."
